WE can rent to groups of 8 or less or 12 or less:

For groups up to 8 we rent THE main BARN with two QUEEN BEDROOMs & four twin beds IN THE upstairs LOFT. 

 

For groups 12 we include the GARDEN APARTMENT with an additional QUEEN BEDROOM AND TWIN TRUNDLE BED. 

 

We rent ONly on Airbnb & vrbo/Homeaway

The rentals for eight at the barn at Joten Lake Acres has two private queen bedrooms and a yoga loft with four twin beds in the loft.  The loft is open and surrounded with widows and the space can be closed off with a door making it perfect for group retreats.  The barn's modern kitchen is fully stocked gourmet and opens to a large living and dining space and a large outdoor deck with stunning views of the lake and hillside.  There is a full bath and 3/4 bathroom upstairs and a washer and dryer.  There is a five day minimum for May through August.  If you rent this space - we block off the garden apartment below for your privacy but if you have a larger group we will allow you to rent one our other rental spaces on the property.

The rentals for 12 includes the garden apartment is in addition to the main floor and hay loft and in addition has a private but connected garden level living space with a queen bedroom, a reading room, a full modern kitchen, a private bathroom with shower, a living room, dining space and private entrance.  There is twin trundle bed in the living room with two twin beds.  The small reading room has a futon couch in it.

Pets are not encouraged at Joten Lake but if you need to bring your pet there is a fee of $100 per pet due in advance of your rental.  I also ask you wipe the paws of your dog to keep the nice rugs and furniture clean for future guests.  

 

The Grainary - Main Floor guest room ” is a bedroom located in a remodeled original grainary and the inside of the building is done in old barn boards.  There is a full bed, bedding and a table and chairs.  The grainary has heat and air conditioning but does not have indoor running water.  This room rents for $65 per night for two guests or less.  There is a one time cleaning fee of $40 per room.

“The Grainary - Top Floor guest room” is a bedroom located in a remodeled original grainary and the inside of the building is done in old barn boards.  The top floor offers 1 bedroom with full size bed, kitchen table with 2 chairs.   The top deck has great views of the back yard and includes a sitting porch w/ benches.  It does have heat and air conditioning but no indoor running water.  This room is currently not being rented. ​

All rentals are subject to the Minnesota State lodging tax of 6.865% + the Ottertail County tax of 0.5% for a tax total of 7.375%.  Check-in is after 3:00 and check-out is 10:00 am;  we are willing to be more flexible if we don't have other rentals before or after your stay.
